When trying to restore your iPhone or iPod touch with iTunes, you may see an error message that stops the restore process.

The error message may also include one of the following numbers (but is not limited to these):
1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 18, 6, 1011, -48, 2, 9, 50, 15, 2003, 2004, 2034, 2033, 9808

Solution

UPDATE ITUNES

Update to the latest version of iTunes. (In iTunes for Windows, choose Help > Check for Updates. On a Mac choose iTunes > Check for Updates.)
